Transfer rules
Wisconsin Gun Trader is a classifieds board. It does not sell firearms, take possession of them, ship them, or decide whether a particular sale is legal.
Private sales in Wisconsin
A private sale arranged on this site is between Wisconsin residents. The buyer and the seller meet and complete that sale themselves. The site is not a party to the sale and does not hold the firearm or the payment for it.
Interstate transfers
A transfer to a person in another state must go through a federal firearms licensee (FFL). Do not ship a firearm to a private party in another state. If the other person is not a Wisconsin resident, use a licensed dealer for the transfer.
Dealer ages
A licensed dealer may sell a handgun only to a buyer who is at least 21, and a long gun only to a buyer who is at least 18. Those are dealer-sale ages. They are separate from the rule that you must be 18 to use this website.
The buyer and the seller follow the law
The buyer and the seller are each responsible for following federal, state, and local law. That includes whether the person may buy, sell, transfer, and possess the firearm, and whether a licensed dealer is required. Wisconsin Gun Trader does not run background checks and does not tell you that a sale is legal.
